Frequently asked questions

  • Can we bring small children?

    Of course. Please note the building is old, with steps along the corridors and stairs. We will seat you away from other guests at dinner. Please order children's meals by the day before.

  • I have tattoos. Can I use the main bath?

    Yes, you can. The main bath can also be reserved for private use, so if you prefer, just ask when you arrive and we will set aside a free time slot.

  • Is there a curfew?

    No. We give you a front door key. There are no shops and no street lights nearby, though, so please take a flashlight if you go out at night.

  • How far ahead can I book?

    Bookings open by phone on the 1st of the month, six months ahead. Saturdays in the Hanare fill quickly; weekdays are often available even at short notice.

  • Is there a cancellation fee?

    Free up to 7 days before. 30% from 6 to 3 days before, 50% the day before, and 100% on the day. If something unexpected comes up, please talk to us.
